24 hours done and still alive

The first day of our new blog and apart from knowing 402 things I didn’t know about blogging yesterday, things are good. I want to say a big thanks to Michele for his help, a lot of interesting and important pointers were given - Thank you very much indeed. There’s a lot more tweaking to do but I do feel the site is taking shape, I hope you agree. Again, if there is any info you feel I could do with knowing please leave a comment.

Looking for specific feedback or just pointers on blogging?

  3. Mark Says:

Nothing specific for the moment. Just things to be aware of and common pitfalls. Once we get into discussing topics then the more feedback the better.

  4. Dave Davis Says:

Well, to be honest, Ireland has some pretty fantastic bloggers as I am sure you are aware. I have no doubt that the feedback will be more than enough to keep you going.

Replying to comments, that’s a great start!

  5. Michele Says:

Mark - As Dave says - replying to comments is always a good start.

    Mark,

    Firstly welcome to blogging :-)
It might be just me but I can’t find the link / address for your RSS feed… The feeds for comments on specific posts is fairly obvious (it’s right there above the comments in a nice obvious gray box) but there just doesn’t seem to be a link to the main feed…

It’s fairly obvious to those in the know that the first thing to try is http://www.computersinbusiness.com/feed/ but I’d say you’ll be hoping for lots of visitors who are not “in the know” so it might be an idea to make it more obvious and maybe include a little “howto” for RSS below the link?

    Cheers.

Oooh, this has changed since I looked first. Looks lovely now. Good job Mark!

Thanks Salubri, I must do a bit more tweaking on it over the weekend.

Thanks too Damien, glad you like the look of it.
