Hey. Fair point. Is it enough for me to say here that all addresses will not be used and dumped once the competition is over.

Hey there, long time no comment...

I would suggest that some link or reference to a privacy policy would be good here to reassure people that you're not scraping email addresses (or to tell them that you are and if they enter they will be lucky enough to get on your mailing list *grin*).

Some dodgy internet marketing going on these days and I wouldn't want to see an upstanding bunch like all of you at CIB get tarred with the same brush...

Cheers! My entry is wining its way in as I type!

Will this section be updated soon? The number of new players in the market continues to rise at a level which leaves even existing players short of information on compeditors.

Thanks

Salubri, apologies for the delay in replying, between being on holidays and generally not making time for the blog postings have slipped. I suppose going into this I had hoped for it to develop a little life of its own with various journalists pitching in - and that is still the plan, I really just haven't been making the time for it. Initially I was debating the option of just putting up brochure-ware but the interactive nature of blogging was too appealing to ignore. I agree with you on both points and need to educate myself further as to what I can post. The idea of guest bloggers is a good one and one I am very open to, maybe that's the next step to open the floor to a number of contributors, many hands and all that...
I will promise a revised effort. Thanks for the comments, you are being productive, and it's exactly the kind of advice and constructive criticism that I need to make this blog a success.

Thanks,
Mark.

Sorry - I meant to be more "productive" in my comment...
I think you'd do very well to cover some of the "big news" items in Irish IT here on the blog right away (specifically stuff that affects business obviously)... As pointed out by Michele on another thread, the big weakness of the supplement is that it only comes out monthly so some news is stale... There's plenty of stuff early in each month that you could get up here right away without taking away from the supplement at all (maybe even draft in a couple of your writers to do short "coming in the supplement" teasers).

Barring that - there are plenty of Irish Bloggers that you could tap up for little news pieces as "Guest Bloggers" (and raise your blog's profile in the process).
