Apple Reseller to open in Dublin

By Adrian Weckler

Dublin is to get its first Apple Premium Reseller outlet, The Sunday Business Post has learnt. The shop, which will be located in the former premises of a bookshop opposite Trinity College on Grafton St, will sell Apple’s complete range of products on two floors and will offer training and a service centre on another two floors.
The shop will open in March and will be run by CompuB, which operates two other Apple Reseller premises, in Limerick and Cork.

In the past 18 months, a number of city centre shops have ceased selling Apple computers and music equipment, including Spectra, O2 Stores and the 3G chain of retail outlets.

Other outlets, such as Arnotts and PC World, now sell Apple computers within the city centre, as does The Mac Shop on Merrion Square.

CompuB’s move comes as Apple is understood to be looking for a Dublin premises to open a fully fledged Apple Store itself.
