Gaelic Telecom payback
Telecoms operator Imagine has announced that its subsidiary, Gaelic Telecom, has paid back €4.4 million to GAA clubs and schools that have signed up to its phone and broadband services. Under a deal with the GAA, Gaelic Telecom is the official telecoms partner of the organisation and repays money to clubs and schools nominated by its customers.
Imagine said that €1.2 million of the figure was paid back in 2009 and this was received by 2,500 clubs and 1,500 schools across 32 counties. Under the terms of the deal, Gaelic Telecom customers nominate their local club or school to receive 15 per cent of all of their call costs.
