3 in first place for broadband

3 Ireland claims to have more than 160,000 mobile broadband customers, retaining its spot as the biggest 3G broadband operator in the Irish market.

The company now has 41 per cent of the Irish mobile broadband company, according to the Commission for Communication Regulation (ComReg).

Vodafone has more than 110,000 3G broadband customers, while O2 has more than 100,000 3G broadband customers.

Meteor, which launched its own mobile broadband service earlier this year, has fewer than 20,000 customers.
