Irish operators holding out for a Hero

Speculation is growing as to which Irish mobile phone operator will land autumn’s most anticipated smartphone.
HTC’s Hero is being touted as the first “serious’‘ iPhone killer candidate to reach the European market.
The touchscreen phone model works using Google’s Android operating system and is particularly designed for use as an internet-friendly device.
Industry speculation has linked Vodafone and 3 as the operators most likely to land the handset, which is already available in the United States, through T-Mobile.
